What is a CASCO installation?

CASCO means 'shell' — it's the complete structural envelope of your home including foundation, frame, roof, insulation, weatherproofing, windows, doors, and exterior cladding. It's weather-tight and structurally complete, but the interior finishing (walls, kitchen, bathroom, electrical, plumbing) is left for you to customize.

Are the homes suitable for year-round living?

Yes! Our homes are designed for permanent residence. They feature high-quality insulation (cork and hempcrete), double-glazed windows, and are engineered to withstand the Azorean climate including Atlantic storms, humidity, and seismic activity.
